Neurotoxin injections are a minimally invasive treatment used to reduce the appearance of dynamic facial lines and wrinkles caused by aging and repetitive muscle movement. They are also effective in treating conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and mild skin laxity. Treatments are quick, typically completed within minutes, and require little to no downtime—making them convenient enough to fit into a lunch break, with patients often returning to normal activities the same day.
Botox® and other nueromodulaors work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause facial expressions like smiling and squinting. These repeated movements create lines and wrinkles over time. Younger skin bounces back because of collagen and elastin, but as we age, the skin loses these proteins, causing wrinkles to deepen. By reducing muscle activity, Botox® helps soften existing wrinkles and can prevent new ones from forming, giving the skin a smoother, more youthful look for several months.
